Norse Projects
Created For All Conditions. The Convergence of High-Performance Outdoor Science and Clean Danish Modernism.
Born on the Coastal Streets of Copenhagen
Norse Projects was born in 2004 as an independent gallery and clothing space in central Copenhagen. Surrounded by the cold, wind-swept reality of Danish autumns and winters, founders Tobia Sloth and Mikkel Grønnebæk realized that conventional menswear either looked aesthetically clumsy (heavy alpine hiking gear) or failed completely in driving rain (Italian luxury wool coats).
The label pioneered the concept of "Good for All Conditions"—combining ultra-refined tailoring with GORE-TEX membranes, welded waterproof seams, and high-density technical twills.
"In Scandinavia, there is no bad weather—only bad clothing. We design garments that respect the maritime cold while feeling comfortable in a clean museum gallery."— Norse Projects Studio Philosophy
Technical Textiles & Natural Fibres
Unlike brands that rely purely on synthetic rainshells, Norse Projects excels in hybrid materialization:
- Solotex & Pertex Quantum: Featherlight ripstop shells that offer stormproof resistance without rustling noises.
- Dry-Spun Scottish Lambswool: Woven in centuries-old mills to provide heavy insulation beneath technical outerwear shells.
- Mercerized Organic Jersey: High-gauge compact cotton shirts that resist shrinkage across hundreds of wash cycles.
